Wine Tasting and Passport

This event was a sun-kissed soiree of beautiful people and great wines. We poured at our Redwood Terrace tasting area backdropped by the estate vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon. Just as the sun returns to us daily, so too did our much appreciated friends and patrons. We hosted a full house for this event with our two parking lots totally filled to the brim. There were almost as many people that we didn't recognize as those in our fan base. Yet, everyone is similar in their adeptness for intelligent conversing and of course, love of wine. It gives our family so much pleasure to share the appreciation of our wines with our patrons. The Shenandoah Zinfandel 2013 barrel sample and it's futures were very well received and perhaps the most popular. We almost sold out of 2012 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay, a clear favorite of the day. We also introduced our Estate Cabernet 2013 barrel sample, after a 6 year hiatus, representing the resumed production of our estate vineyard wine from Montebello Ridge. This wine has especially rich briar flavors of blackberry, currants, boysenberry and blueberry with soft, lacy texture and smooth, lasting finish. It will be ready to bottle this October or November. We have plans to grow additional varietals for blending to our estate in an effort to continue developing complex but clear flavors that reflect the bounty of nutrients of this world renowned Montebello Ridge soil and micro-climate. The Pinot Noir 2011 Central Coast still sang out with tropical flavors, of banana, strawberry and minerals. At the end of the day we noted that all our current wines have dwindled to almost sold out. So please place your orders now before we completely run out of wine. And remember our futures are available now until September 30, 2014 at a greatly reduced price.
